Summer Experience at Lipscomb Academy/CEA: Acting Out Improv


July 24-28 • 9:00 am-Noon

Open to students entering the 5th through 8th grades
Have you always wanted to try improv? This workshop will help you learn to think quickly on your feet, develop scenes, and create hilarious characters all without a script. Students will explore characters and storytelling on the stage through games and exercises designed to help them trust their instincts while on stage. Come play in this exciting and fun workshop! This camp is led by Lipscomb University Professor of Theater and Dance Kari Smith. Mrs. Smith has one the KCACTF award for Directing along with numerous acting and dance awards. Mrs. Smith also directs Lipscomb University's dance company and is the Artistic Director at Town Center Theater.
